A little TF history.
The Transparent Flamingo was first established on SI. It has a decent following of 63 boardmarks. That doesn't sound like much, but SI is not into the nano/micro caps to near the extent of IHUB. The TF2 was started here on IHUB at the request of Puppman. It turned out to be a real shot in the arm for the whole concept, especially with his infusion of awesome, brilliant, and original graphics.
Alright, at a certain point, we began to realize that we wanted to find more stocks for the list, but absolutely, positively only want stocks that are better than the ones already in the roost. And yes, we know that thus far, the results have been very lacklustre, with the exception of HLS(H). We think it to be because the first TF was based on transparency alone.....which we now see is not enough. So, we created the draft in order to find transparent stocks, that can prove themselves to be shareholder friendly before making the real TF list.
The draft was first started here on IHUB, and RXPC was recruited right off the bat. Ghcnj stepped up to the plate, and masterfully managed the information that could be ascertained in regards to that draft pick. To date, they have not been selected for the TF List, but none the less, they have been a shining example of how this process does work, and also how to be an awesome guru no matter the performance of the pick. It's amazing to see that ghcnj was able to set aside his own investment, and accurately report the true state of affairs with RXPC. He is held in the highest regards, and has set a wonderful standard for us all to follow.
At some point, we decided to also add the draft picks, and the Alum threads to SI in order to make the process complete in both forums. I move the posts from here to there in order to jump start the process, and also as a service to the guru. I figure if they made such effort, then the least I can do is try to give them a little more exposure.
So what's it going to take for it to gain a true audience? Imvho, just a little time. I believe we already have at least a stock or two that are already on the list that will fly off the pinks. HLS(H) already has accomplished this feat, and they were another major shot in the arm, but again, we do realize they are more in the way of a bird that healed, than one that was hatched in the pinks. We know we have one on the list already, and are very optimistic that one or more of these draft picks will be there also. A trend in the TF towards strong transparent stocks is hatching.....TRGD and NNRF are the proof!
