It was a snide sarcastic comment, IMO wether it was meant as a joke or not is irrelevant. This idea that the military is made up of the dregs of society is a common underlying theme of liberals. That the military in itself offers the very best representation of a cross section of American society goes right over their heads. I'm telling you, we're an election away from a replay of soldiers returning from overseas only to be met by rabid protesters and spit............
