<<We are all grownups here and the issue is not the right to post.>> I agree - let's act that way.

<<If you have something to contribute on that point, please do so.>> One of the qualities of a successful investor IMO is patience. How much, you say ? It depends on the company, competition, industry, etc.
In Novell's case, I believe Schmidt when he says they have great technology and products under development. And since he has only been CEO since April, I do not think he has established enough of a track record for us to judge the his success and the potential impact of the products yet to be released. Does he have enough time to execute his plan? Some days I think no; others I think yes. This is where people like Jerry add to my understanding of the situation much more than Joe 's diatribe against he and Scott L. Joe contributes a lot but not when he picks on these people for no good reason, IMO. Patience is the key. It may take another few years before we get a definitive answer on the success or failure of Novell. Until then, we have the allure of a potentially profitable situation being dangled in front of us because we know what the company accomplished in its earlier days, how strong the financials are and what seeming potential it has. We are also well aware of its weaknesses. Will Novell prevail? Time will tell. In the mean time I need the perspectives - not diatribes - of Jerry, Scott, Joe, etc to enable me to make better informed decisions about my speculation in NOVL.
