David Hughes of the Canadian Geological Survey has been making waves. He says using natural gas to process bitumen in the oil sands is like "Turning gold into lead". See this post: Message 22976157 I believe Matt Simmons has a similar viewpoint. My own oil sands bet is with Petrobank (PBG.TO)which has a process (THAI) that may alleviate that concern.
