Ashley, Global Warming is really having an impact in NZ. All the heat from down here seems to have gone up your way to where the Greenhouse Effect is working. It must be the Gulf Stream taking all our heat. Now, we have icebergs invading and I guess glaciers will come racing down the valleys [here they come niwascience.co.nz ] to take over by land as well.

We can't afford SUVs and lots of motorways to do our bit for the Greenhouse Effect because we spend the little money we get on dumb things like more dole bludging layabouts, treating fat people and other self-destructive types for medical problems, enforcing random rules on each other such as "altering vegetation without a permit" - I think we are still allowed to mow lawns, but maybe my lifetime pass for that has been revoked, and flying around the world attending End of the World Greenhouse Effect conferences to get our "Green Miles" up to our "Food Mile" level to balance our carbon credits. Apparently our forests are very bad for Greenhouse Effect - which isn't surprising as everything is bad forthe Greenhouse Effect and Global Warming and OMIGODWHATABOUTTHEGRANDCHILDREN, including the birth of said grandchildren.

I am not surprised that we have icebergs rattling around the coast. It's freezing. Somehow, that's going to be blamed on Global Warming. I suppose the melting of the glacier which made the icebergs is the problem and there's sooooo much glacier breakup going on that the whole southern ocean has cooled, pushing the icebergs north to where they came absorb the heat from Global Warming, melting to flood Gaia and inundate Bangladesh [I realize the sea level rise came when the icebergs entered the ocean, not when they melt].
