I have collected the links to a lot of posts refuting the pre-tribulation rapture false doctrine. There are a lot but very worth reading. Before that though let me lay this out for you.
Revelation is hard to piece together a time frame from but with the help of Jesus and His timetable from Matthew 24 we can build an understanding because Jesus outlined in order the events of the end and His return.
Matt 24: 29- 31 state Jesus return. In Verse 29 He says But immediately after the tribulation of those days
What tribulation is He referring to? Back in verse 21 He states, for then their will be a great tribulation, such has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall . That is the tribulation Jesus refers back to when He says in verse 29, immediately after .
So what is immediately after the great tribulation that Jesus is going to tell us about? Verse 30 Jesus says, and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn (they realize their mistake too late when they see Jesus appear), and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. Verse 31, And He will send forth His angels WITH A GREAT TRUMPET ( the last trump from 1 Corinthians 15:52 that Paul wrote about) and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect FROM THE FOUR WINDS, FROM ONE END OF THE SKY TO THE OTHER.
Jesus comes at the last trump. So we can pin point the last trump that sounds in the book of Revelation. First there is a book with seven seals described in Rev. 5. No one can open the book except Jesus who is symbolized as the Lamb in Chapter 6 where He starts to open the seven seals one at a time. Each seal opened starts a series of events. Rev 8 there is the seventh seal opened and that releases 7 angels who sound 7 trumpets, one at a time. After each trumpet sounds a series of events takes place after each blast. The seventh angel sounds the seventh trumpet in Rev. 11: 15. Then the scene is this. There arose loud voices in heaven saying, The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.
So immediately after the 7th and last trumpet sounds they proclaim Jesus has come into His kingdom. Then Revelation being a confusing book departs from an orderly series of events for two chapters as other events are described. Then we get to the verses Rev. 14:14-20. Jesus is described in Rev 14:14 as He is in Matt 24:30. It is His glorious return to gather His elect from the 4 winds. Immediately after His appearance in the clouds in the 16th verse Jesus reaps the earth of His elect.
Immediately after that an angel with another sickle Rev. 14:17-20 harvests the earth of the rest of man and throws them all in the wine press of the wrath of God (because they took the mark of the beast and worshiped his image). Chapter 16 describes the 6 bowls of wrath that are the Wrath of God being poured out on those who took the mark and worshiped the image of the beast. The Wrath of God is not the Great Tribulation. They are completely different events.
Rev. Chapter 12 seems to be a recap of events that happened long ago but are brought up again. The dragon being the devil who tries to swallow Jesus when He is born. And so on. Chapter 13 is also out of order with the seals and trumpets and not time slotted. But they are great tribulation events being described. Rev 13:7. And it is given to him to make war against the saints and overcome them. (we are still here). Rev. 13:15 whoever does not worship the image of the beast will be killed ( the saints will not worship the image of the beast) . Rev. 13:16-17 he forces his mark on all inhabitants of the earth, the great and the small. No one can buy or sell without it. (economic control in the physical world). We have to look for the signs of the times to place these events in perspective. There is a cashless society coming that would make the mark of the beast possible. A world with all electronic transactions will give enormous power to the financial kings of the earth over all mankind. And the 10 kings who have no kingdom as yet give their power and authority to the beast. I believe these are 10 financial kings who s enormous power is financial and not political so in a traditional sense they have not received a kingdom. Rev. 17: 12-13. A lot of events that occur the book of Revelation does not put in a neat order so we have to watch the signs of the times.
If you believe in a pre-trib rapture you think you are waiting for Jesus to return but the antichrist is going to fake Jesus's second coming before Jesus returns. That's the trick the devil is going to pull off on the deceived and complacent church. Paul even wrote that anti-christ will come first.
2 Thessalonians 2
1) Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2) That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4) Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
These verses certainly don't sound like "imminent" return. In fact, the 3rd Temple that anti-christ will sit in is not even rebuilt yet! So the Lord cannot return yet, can He. And who wants to be God and replace Jesus? Satan, the anti-christ. HE COMES FIRST. That's the facts. By watching the true signs of the times we can see what must happen first in our time. Bush and his wars against the Arabs are making it politically possible now for the 3rd Hebrew Temple to be built. And remember all the material for it is already ready. After it starts it will go up fast.
