I couldn't find anything specific to Transmeridian but there has been "social unrest" in Kazakhstan recently, specifically I believe there was a riot by several hundred oil company workers that had to be forcibly put down...I don't have a link or the time to research it right now but I'm sure you could find some more about it with some digging. In fact I think someone posted about it on this board (maybe allevett?) some time in the past two or three weeks. Rob
