This is the most ideologically self-serving and corrupt bunch of politicians I have ever seen. In a rational world, markets will rally as they are thrown out. Ironically, for the short term we will be left with by far the worst of the bunch -- Cheney, Rumsfeld and Bush. This is the beginning of the end for that whole crowd. Markets will celebrate the robust US political system -- a system that can make tragic mistakes but still find some way to recover from them. For some of these guys their next address will be next door to guys who buy and sell them in exchange for cigarettes.
