The bad news for the GOP is that there are more than 20 seats where they are behind in areas where Kerry beat Bush inn 2004. So turnout won't be enough to save the GOP candidates. And in many of those places there is almost no incentive for Repub voters to vote, knowing they are going to lose all the major races. I'm talking about NY, PA, Ohio, Illinois and a new other blue states.

Right now there are about 35 house races where the Dem leads. And they only need to win 41% of them.

There are also 15 GOP seats directly threatened by major ethics scandals.
