They are in HK because HK hired them, to work as domestic helpers and waiters/waitresses in eateries serving English-speaking customers.

That means the majority of the locals speak bad english ? That shows HK education system really suck. I assume you must be confined yourself in your rock island. Why don't you go to KLN, especially the low income districts, and check things out ?

When you go to Central on Saturday & Sunday, most of the people are immigrants, sitting on the sidewalk. They are not re-investing the money back to HK, or otherwise they could have bought home for themselves. Most of them just can't effort expensive houses in HK. They just channel money back home to their families.

we merely take advantage of the R&D and exploit the R&D-ers.

rubbish. Without skilled labors & good education system, HK will continue to be the destination of 3rd world low-skill migrants, trying to exploit the wealth of HK. How many of you can actually take advantage of R&Ders ? not many!

we are at 7

Oh man oh man ... the pollution is bad enough.
