TD Waterhouse CANADA Commissions Changed Oct 30/06

They are forcing you to adopt their "30 trades minimum to qualify for $9.99" or you are dinged $29 PER TRANSACTION. No longer are they grouping trades made within the day.

All trade orders are charged an applicable commission rate on a per order basis. For instance, if multiple trade orders are placed on the same day, for the same security, and on the same side of the market, each individual order will be subject to the applicable commission rate.

Not sure if this will work - unless you are signed in.. but they have posted it.

The best part -- NO MESSAGES. Yes the messages that stay for weeks telling me of trust tax changes or to get onboard to buy their virus crap --- THOSE messages - and yet nothing for this stuff.

Smooth move!

Sadly, other Canadian brokerages will probably adopt this model. Makes buying the small stocks over a day difficult at best for the small investor.
