That sounds pretty funky to me. We have touch screen here... but at least the card is used only once, and deposited into a box.

I still think you could do secure Internet voting somehow... but I know people would just freak out over that one. But imagine if you could get a live vote total all day long... that would be cool. (And I know people would scream about different time zones giving up when they saw their candidate losing, etc etc).
