Protocall’s on-demand product delivery systems enable retailers to produce fully packaged software and other digital media products on-site at their store locations and Web site fulfillment centers. Retailers can reduce their reliance on costly physical inventory, expand their selection of products for consumers, eliminate shrinkage and out-of-stock situations, speed time to market for new products, and improve their operating margins with minimal space requirements. Products can be produced at the time of sale or in quantities for display on retail shelves. Our on-demand systems include optional touch-screen Product Preview Stations to help store consumers select products and an Order Fulfillment Station for retailers to produce select software titles. Product Preview Stations, which are used at retail walk-in stores, present video demonstrations, text descriptions, and technical specifications that provide a more complete understanding of available products than could be obtained from a box on the shelf. After payment is made by a consumer, a sales associate produces the selected product using the system’s Order Fulfillment Station. For Web retailers, orders are forwarded electronically to the Order Fulfillment Station, which can be located at one or multiple order fulfillment centers. The typical product takes just a few minutes to produce and can be made on-demand for single-item orders or in quantities in advance of anticipated sales. .
