Argue with the Census Bureau. Again, the population is larger, so even if the percentage is lower, the absolute numbers could be up.

Blacks aren't the only ones poor. Even for them, the percentage in poverty is about half of what it was in the early 1960s. As far as those things go, that seems to have been a bigger factor for poor blacks than any other group. So, for your thesis to be valid, there has to be some biasing factor in LBJ's programs that affected blacks differently than other groups. So what are they? "Rush told me" isn't an answer.

As far as the Klan goes, you seem to have more insight into that organization than I do.
