It's too bad there weren't enough moderate Republicans left to form a cohesive bloc and move the Republican majority in a different direction.

I think the Reps become more conservative in the House since the moderates in that party are the ones getting beaten. So, whatever they do in the House, my guess is they don't do policy but rather play everything in terms of the next election and, particularly, the presidential run.

On the other hand, the Dems become more conservative, depending on the size of the final numbers.

Interesting outcomes.
