When the HK highschool students get high score in math & science, that's their individual ability. They eventually will need to study abroad, most likely USA, cuz HK just doesn't have enough R&D for them. They will then be employed and settle in USA too to help rebuild the economy. So you think the math/science scores in California Chinese students are low, think again! :0))))
