I expect an immediate hike in the minimum wage. Which will put money in the pockets of our grandchildren who are working fast food. :>) It usually lags the real "minimum wage" point, so it won't hurt too much. Almost all of the Bush's tax cuts have cut-off points after 2008, so Rankin won't be able to raise them.

The rest of the immediate Dem agenda involves tax credits. These are "off the books" items are far as figuring the budget so they will get away with some of them.

I don't expect much to really happen on Iraq. What can they do? Cut the money and force Bush to bring them home? I don't think so.
