Better than President Rice. At least Pelosi is good at her job. No, I think the first woman will be a Republican. Democrats have no problem voting for a woman, but many on the right are still stuck in pre-Reconstruction thinking. But I can't think of any possible candidates. Rice is grossly incompetent. Christine Todd Whitman doesn't seem strong enough - she let the Bushites trample all over her and the EPA in her short tenure. Laura? Well, if Bush's presidency has taught us anything, it is that ANYONE is electable, regardless of background and competency.
