i actually on reading this Book Review in NYT, i was hit with just a very bad feeling, a sense i real alarm, they concur with the words you expressed.
The Zionist Fanatics are a huge danger.
Jewish community will argue intensely amongst themselves but always the "we must still hang together" is the call, it has been what has held the community together for so long.
But matters are getting so polarized now within the jewish community i feel the non-fanatic zionists or anti-zionists need somehow ally and make a demonstrative show to the world at large that they are strongly opposed to the fanatic zionist and show that they "wash their hands of them".
For the vast majority of the world they see jews as all thinking alike, a jew is a "a fanatic zionist" is becoming the world view now.
i think it is time the jews opposed to the fanatic zionist let the world know they exist and they are jews also.
Leonard Cohen, who is an ordained Buddhist Monk, on being advised that there is a significant contingent that hold all people like Leonard Cohen are no longer Jewish.
Cohen bitingly, sarcastically replied "anyone that think i am not jewish because i became a Buddhist is not a Jew."
Mamet book i actually totalitarian, he is saying, if you aren't this or that, or not a jew, you have betrayed your birthright.
