In an old Russian joke, a babushka is fervently praying for the survival of the Czar's terrible First Minister, while the rest of the congregation is feverishly praying for his death. Afterwards, outside the church, they all lay into the old hag yelling, "What the hell is the matter with you, lady, he's horrid, we want to be rid of him, only you are against us!" Says she quietly, almost in a whisper, "The next one will be worse."
