oh come on...the US put themselves in this mess with this 'leadership'....Afghanistan was forgotten and is now on the Taliban comeback trail...


So you completely discount the efforts of the Canadian Armed forces and of Nato, both of whom are fighting even as you sit and type nonsense. Yes the US took some troops out of Afghanistan, but it left a significant military force in Afghanistan with troops fro a number of other countries.

That slut Bill Clinton said he would have put 20,000 troops in Afghanistan, so there are 18,500 troops fighting there, so that is pretty close to exactly what Clinton claimed he would do.

What makes the US a laughing stock is the problem that the US has been unable to win a war once since 1945 except on film.
What makes the US a laughing stock is the complete inability of Americans to fight. And the cowardice is not in your Army, it is endemic in your left wing who support every single country you have fought. America's adventures in War have brought untold hardship and misery every time you went to war, mostly on the side you fought on. And that misery continues for years after Americans run home whipped, by their own 5th column.
