But America has been floundering around since the War in Viet Nam. I think the Women's Movement, (I fully support equal rights for women BTW) but the anger of the women's movement and the move to Political Correctness has caused the US to falter. Often the US seems more concerned with little things like the 10 commandments on an old building (in a rational society it would be a heritage building) than they are with the bigger problems Muslims slaughtering people in Sudan. Or examining old women when looking for Terrorists so it doesn't seem like you are singling out any one group. Of course everyone knew which group was the problem, and which group had the bombs but we made life miserable for everyone.

The idea of Armed Gunboats on the Great lakes seems particularly dumb. Particularly that the US feels the need to talk about it. And your media, some stuff should not be on the news, like airport security, or investigations into security on ports. Media is a huge American problem.
