"Tremendous" interest in new Shuffle: Apple exec....SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Apple Computer Inc. has so far seen "tremendous" interest in its new iPod Shuffle digital music player and is "really excited" about the holiday sales period, the company's head of worldwide product marketing said on Wednesday. "Response to it has been tremendous," Phil Schiller said in a telephone interview, referring to the Shuffle, which began shipping at the end of October, which was "exactly when we expected." "The early response and reviews have been phenomenal," Schiller said. Asked how he saw the crucial holiday sales period shaping up, he said: "We're really excited about the holiday period." Earlier, Apple said its iBook notebook personal computer will now be using Intel Corp.'s (Nasdaq:INTC - news) Core 2 Duo processors and were up to 25 percent faster than the previous generation.
