Good for you.... So in order to placate American Fears, we give up the worlds longest undefended border, and fill the lakes with lead so the boys can practice. Other than raising the Coast Guards pay level, do you really think we will be immensely safer with a few 50 calibre Machine guns mounted on a few boats and conducting various inconvenient live munitions tests on the great lakes. And if we are, wouldn't prudence have dictated that we not announce it to the world? Heck they are going to announce where they are and when they are practising for heavens sake.
