The worst decisions are made by the best people giving it the best study and the greatest thought. The reason is that all policy comes from prejudice, formed by a hardened shell of elemental cant, formed in early childhood when ratiocination was trumped by to fear of the dark, by shadows and bogeymen. To those to whom truth and cold calculation is cold comfort, mythology is certitude, divination is preferred to calculus. I think the wisest thing differing opinion can ascribe to is that the sum of the differences is closer to the truth than both truths combined, and mythologies are the basis for all our most solid of convictions. If we truly sought the ultimate essence of the nature of things, the best we could refute the other with would be the simple edict, "we do not know". EC<:-}
