As usual, Ann cherrypicked her facts. No surprise, she never is intellectually honest. So let's do some cherrypicking also.

1958: Eisenhower--Republicans lost 48 seats
1986: Reagan--Republicans lost 5 seats
1998: Clinton--Democrats gained 5 seats

I can't believe she used the numbers from the election after Watergate. The Republican party damn near died because of that. No huge shock the Republicans lost seats. FDR was in trouble because, despite all his efforts, the Great Depression was still grinding along. And Dwight got into trouble because he was too interested in civil rights. Enforcing the law in Little Rock and signing the Civil Rights Act didn't win him any friends. But does Ann care that there were reasons for those seats being lost? Nah, she'd rather try to find excuses.

What an intellectual whore.
