After sitting out a term or less they would just go back for more pork.

I have no problem with them coming back after sitting out a term. I have a problem with pork, but they wouldn't be the only people pulling for it. Term limits don't solve the special interest / public choice problem.

After sitting out a term, they lose the advantage of incumbency. My main reason for potentially supporting term limits, is the huge incumbency advantage, where politicians can get locked, and almost impossible to challenge or remove.

I wouldn't push the idea "lets have a ton of career politicians", but I also don't have a major problem with someone being a career politician. Certainly not enough of a problem to support making it illegal.
