The chickenhawk "argument", is usually used against senior politicians.

The military doesn't have a lot of need for middle aged to elderly people who have no military experience and who might be very out of shape.

If its intended to be a serious argument against the war, or against people who haven't served being able to call for war, its a logical fallacy. But maybe I shouldn't have assumed it to be one, it might not be meant as an argument at all, it might just be a logically rhetorical device to beat up political enemies. I generally don't appreciate such devices. I don't like when Coulter uses them (which is why I rarely read her stuff anymore, she is smart, and sometimes has some really good points, but they get lost in over the top statements and personal attacks), and I certainly don't like them when the left uses them.

From either side, calling someone, or trying to imply that someone is, a coward, a traitor just because they disagree about the political issues is not a good thing.
