Most of the arguments against term limits hinge on the assumption that our Founding Fathers were wrong. An alternate approach would be to have Washington DC wired for some technology that could sense individuals' human presence. Every human upon first entry would have an irrevocable choice of either a total of ten years (in seconds of actual presence) in or out of DC. If you chose to be a resident, you could not leave, and if you chose to not be a resident, you would be arrested and either evicted or returned permanently upon the expiration of your "visa".
