I disagree. If the democrats learned nothing from the wasted, wasteful six month of the clinton debacle, it is that they need to look foward. It won't help them to emulate the republicans of 1998 who claimed they were acting on principle when they were doing nothing of the sort.

Bush was reelected with virtually all of his strengths and failings known and laid out in full view. the voters chose them in 2004. If the democrats want to live in power beyond 2006, they have to govern in a way different than that now repudiated...come up with reasonable proposals...compromise when appropriate...get the "big job" done.

Do what the republicans of 1994 didn't do..remember why they were elected and who they report to.
