You are probably right - I doubt the DEMs will run the table again, but I think there is a chance.

1) Colorado (Allard-R), Rep. Mark Udall(D) will challenge.

2) Minnesota (Coleman-R) - Al Franken?

3) Virginia (Warner-R), John Warner expected to retire, former Governor Mark Warner would be strong.

4) New Mexico (Domenici-R), Expected to retire - not raising money. This is more and more DEM state with a couple of strong DEM candidates.

5) North Carolina (Dole-R), another possible retirement. Democratic Governor Mike Easley is expected to challenge either way.

6) Kansas (Roberts-R). The DEMs are making solid inroads, and popular DEM Governor Kathleen Sebelius is rumored to be interested.

7) Tennessee (Alexander-R) - another shot for Harold Ford?

8) Georgia (Chambliss-R) - people are still talking about the swift boating of Max Cleland. This is a GOP state, but it is possible.

Yes, there are other possibilities: NH, Oregon (if the Governor runs), even Nebraska if Hagel leaves the Senate (rumored).

I like EIGHT in '08 for the DEMs.

With the DEMs only having to defend 12 seats, and with 21 GOP seats available, some pickups are expected.
