I haven't had ham in a long time...your curried squash sounds yummy. I will try that with my squash.

I made a really wonderful bbq sauce for chicken last week - kind of by accident.
it's really good, and since I never measure, this is all approx

2 tbs light olive oil
approx 1/2 onion minced
tbs minced garlic
maybe 3 tbs of worcesteshire sauce
brown sugar - 2 or 3 tbs - to taste
2 tbs balsamic vinegar
some ketchup
couple of dashes of hot sauce
dash cumin
and a bunch of pomegranate seeds.
Saute all of it in a pan on low for maybe half an hour with a lid on it doesn't burn, just melds, then heat light olive oil in a pan and quickly braise both sides of chicken breasts, coat with sauce then bbq them not on hot, hot, but a temp where they'll be ready in 15 to 20 mins, and keep basting them. They were scrumptious.
