Hi Jay,
Agree the press is on a roll with fluffy pieces on the internet/SEC/fraud connection. Funny how factual articles can appear quite ominous when certain facts are excluded and lazy research techniques are utilized by reporters. Do they teach that style at the major journalism departments? Norm?
I feel the only recourse we have as shareholders is to affect more public exposure of and queries into the plight of GRNO. Today in the Washington Post biz section was another white hat-touchy-feely (IMO) SEC-related article, in effect, a "biography" of SEC Chairman Levitt. Yeh, that's right, appoint Bill Gates to head an FTC commission charged with monitoring competition in the software/OS industry! ba da bing. The link for those interested. It's free but can't remember if registration is required.

I am in the process of requesting of the SEC specific guidelines on what information one can disseminate over the wild wild west internet when one visits a company and observes happenings and such. I will be in Charleston during the week of Oct 13 and blinders are not in my wardrobe. Very anxious to report back to all the dedicated GRNO followers. Bear in mind I have yet to sink a ship (loose lips) and heck, if I have to, I will call Tom Kurlak (Merrill Lynch) or some other bozo and have HIM put out a research report! That should keep us out of trouble.
On Thursday, I sent this to the editor of the Charleston Post & Courier. It is fairly self explanatory. Anyone care to take odds on whether it is published or even musters a private response? _______________
Dear Editor,
I am a long term investor in Green Oasis Environmental Inc and a limited partner in the waste oil recycling processor located at the Allied Terminal Facility on Greenleaf.
I monitor with great interest local press coverage of Green Oasis. Although the flow of information concerning Green Oasis has been minimal since the onset of the SEC investigation into the company, recent events appear worthy of coverage.
An online search of the Post and Courier archives clearly documents a plethura of articles that report the past difficulties of Green Oasis vis-a-vis the South Carolina DHEC. In the spirit of balance I was interested in knowing if the Post and Courier intends to report on the recent approval by DHEC for the proper permit(s) to operate the limited partnership processor. In a developmental stage company, news of this sort is quite important and relevant to the investors in Green Oasis as well as the local community.
I understand the recent and justifiable vacuum of information from the company makes reporting difficult, but I feel the DHEC final operating permit approval is quite newsworthy.
If I missed any relevant articles covering the latest events, please notify me of the date published and I will resume my search with more diligence.
Thank you very much,
Mark Seyer _______________
I too am just about tired of the frequent articles of late that refer to GIFS, SEXI, etc and GRNO in a relatively similar vein.
Maybe if I can convince the state of South Carolina to somehow seize the offices of GRNO the SEC will provide some closure ala GIFS. There I go again, two sentences, two cases of GRNO/GIFS lumpage. Must be a disease.
That's all for now.....
