It is an attempt to silence one side. Not with force, it isn't a 1st amendment violation, or a infringement on freedom, but it is and attempt to rule one side out of the debate because of who they are, not because of what they say. Its an ad-hominem. An argument against the person, not against their arguments. Welcome to our lives the past six years.
