"I don't want anyone to start thinking that this war with the Islamic fanatics is over. It's far from over."

I do, because it was never a "war" to begin with. Any more than the "war on drugs" is a war. A war is something you fight against another country, that has a military and is fighting your military. Korea, at the time, wasn't even called a "war". It was a "police action". We need to take back the word "war", which has been co-opted by politicians for fear-mongering.

The military hammer DOESN'T WORK against this problem, wasn't DESIGNED to defeat this problem, and in fact, only recruits members for the terrorists and CREATES more problems than it solves. It can have a spot use role, but it should be quick, and ended quickly at the direction of intelligence and law enforcement agencies.
