Steyn (and Herb Meyer --Seige of the Western Civilization and website at: stormkingpress.com --- as well) have both mentioned that we have to have a 2.1 ratio birthrate to maintain the population as we know it. The US I believe is currently at a 1.9. Steyn said that Italy is at a 1.4.....he also gave specific numbers for most of the EU, and they all were between 1.4 and 1.9.....
