Yep, that's right. Only problem is that Californians already pay a lot at the pump. We even have a tax on gas that is supposed to go to road improvements, but Sacramento can declare a "budget emergency" and take that money for other uses, which they did for the past several years.

Fortunately, Prop 1A solves the latter problem. As for the effects Prop 87 would have had on gas prices, supporters like Clifford claimed it will not increase gas prices. But anyone who understands supply and demand knows otherwise.
