XM has had NASCAR for five years. How big a draw do you think it has been for THEM?

Some people will undoubtedly move from XM to SIRI to get NASCAR. But to suggest those numbers could be "as big is Stern" is utterly stupid. And Mel knows it.

Just as with Stern, Mel has assumed ad revenue will make it worthwhile. But just as Stern's ad revenue has fallen way, way short -- NASCAR will fall even MORE short.

Reality? Not that many people want to listen to NASCAR on the radio. A lot of people can't even get interested on TV, and radio broadcasts of the races are even weaker (just try listening on XM).

With NASCAR, the talk and personalities are the name of the game.
