So the entire time you were growing your fortune (and clearly you didn't inherit it cause those awful estate taxes would have sucked it away), you used the the infrastructure built by other people's taxes. They didn't pay a flat tax (based on same dollars per person, regardless of income), but you benefited from the schools, highways, subsidies, etc. that they paid for (back in the good old days when we paid as we went...before massive deficits).

Now when you have your money you want to pay the same tax as the day laborer....not the same rate, but the same amount of tax? Regardless of deficits? Imagine how much more the day laborer would have to pay to reach the median in government receipts.....you come down but he goes up, way up. But you got yours!

The revolution would start on Saturday.
