Shorty believes that if taxe rates are cut so tax revenues are cut by, say, 10%...but economic growth occurs that restores the lost tax revenue then we are o.k.

Of course, if we are running deficits to begin with, and spending increases at 8.5% then neutral tax revenues won't do the trick....More debt needs to be issued, higher interest rates down the road....China smiles as they own us.

But in his mind spending discipline doesn't matter...and everyone, everyone should just pay the same dollars in tax regardless of income level....

Gee....that kind of flat tax is a litte bizzare. It's the "I got mine, so screw the next guy" rule.
