Yes, I think that radical extremists from Islamic, Christian, and Jewish (not to mention Hindu and Buddists) are sowing the seeds of hatred in their youth. It is more of a function of power and economy than religion. The reason that seeds of extremism have difficultly taking root in the United States in ANY of these groups is that we enjoy a high degree of freedom and economic opportunity. We don't have the same conditions of hopelessness that are needed by the extremist manipulators to sow their crop.

Look hard at the Jewish extremists in Israel - the 'one Jewish fingernail is worth more than all the Palestinians' wackos. They use the same tactics of indoctrinating their youth with messages of hatred and fear.

Same with Christian extremists:

We don't have the same espousing of a constant stream of hate punctuated with lies and fear necessary to gain such sectarian extremism.

Come to think of it, maybe we do: Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Ann Coulter...
