Derek, You know I used to think the same thing... BUT.. I work for a company that sells cross-platform engineering tools. Guess what, UNIX sales are disappearing.. and the UNIX and PC versions cost exactly the same. In short I think UNIX is dying. Look at SGI they just announced that they are going to start making workstations based on Intel processors running NT. Also witness HP, teaming up with Intel, to make the next generation architecture that will be running NT (HP has said there will be only one more HP-UX release). Steve
