the pay raise issue i doubt had anything to do with Santorum. he is a right in your face guy and upset a lot of voters. casey tied him to Bush . he should have been able to beat casey , an empty suit, but he lost because he was Washington and iraq all the way. besides pa is a blue state now. the counties around philly that elected republicans years ago are now all blue with exception of chester county and its turning blue too.
