RE:Perhaps Iran will choose to strike Israel first. Highly unlikely. Despite the rhetoric, Iran has no need to launch an attack on Israel. By removing Saddam and the Taliban the U.S and Europe Iran a great service by removing two enemy regimes. In addition, the West has failed to gain support for significant sanctions to restrain Iranian nuclear ambitions and the rise in Iran's regional influence. An unprovoked attack on Israel would only serve to unite world opinion against Iran, something that the Bush administration has been trying to do for years. Iran has everything to gain by sticking to diplomacy and lots to lose if they initiate a first strike against Israel.
