I'd rather see the state concentrating on providing basic required services, and otherwise not trying to enhance any specific groups "economic ecosystem" at the expense of anyone else's.

You did not read my last paragraph very carefully. I think it is impossible to build a stable society with the bulk of the wealth in the hands of a very few, while an ever increasing fraction is very poor. You might recall that the USA was founded largely by poorer people who left a european environment which was just like that, although many also left for other reasons such as religious freedom.

What you are advocating is the John Gault world of Rand's fiction. Unfortunately, there is pervasive evidence that this will not work.

Republicans spend much of their political energy on trying to enable the Gault world, while Democrats spend much of their's trying to equalize things by robbing the rich. Neither approach is productive.
