The GOP doesn't really give a damn about embryonic stem cells. It's all pandering to create a phony wedge issue and placate the ignorant followers of hypocrites Dobson, Haggard and Falwell.

Bush's position on stem cells makes no sense at all. It goes back to the same old lie that human beings exist at conception. That is just nonsense. Also nonsense is "partial birth" abortions. Nothing like that even exists. "Partial birth" is a total inaccurate description. As are tags like "pro life". What it's really all about ot keeping women from having sexual freedom. It's sexist, regressive and doesn't work. Neither does abstinence only education. It already results in more STD's and unwanted pregnancies.
