mcnabb, you don't have to worry about the 1987 and 1990 crashes on selling naked puts. all smart players will sell the say 50 naked put on a stk and get $5 then buy the 42.5 put for 1/2 and you are protected plus you margin is reduced to next to nothing. and you sleep at nite.
