It is an attempt to silence one side. Not with force, it isn't a 1st amendment violation, or a infringement on freedom, but it is and attempt to rule one side out of the debate because of who they are, not because of what they say. Its an ad-hominem. An argument against the person, not against their arguments.
Let me say.....when you posted the above all I said to you is welcome to my world the past six years. From that, you went into this complicated discussion that managed to bring in the issue of treason. How you got there is beyond me. But what I am still saying is that there was a very concerted effort to silence the voices on my side during the past 6 years.....and frankly, some of you are still trying.
During that time, we were accused of treason, called traitors, told to leave the country, etc. Now you know how it feels. I am not saying its right........in fact, its not right but unfortunately, it seems to be the reality these days. If you want people to treat you nicely when you are down, its really important then that you not kick or silence people when they are down. [When I say "you", I mean the greater GOP community, not you specifically.] And its no secret that the right has not been very nice the past ten years or more. So its time for a change...... |
