That doesn't amount to an admission of lying. It amounts to a statement that he will no longer support certain people. You can make statements of support for someone who isn't very deserving of support without lying. Tim, you have a distinct difficulty with reading between the lines. When Rush says he "carried the water for certain people" he is saying he covered for those people.....made them out to be better than what they were....for the good of the party. In other words, he is saying that he lied about people's performance and capabilities for the benefit of the greater good [which is the GOP]. Everyone but you understands that underlying premise. Furthermore he is pissed because one of the people he defended before the election was Rumsfeld.........and then Rumsfeld got fired the day after the election. In his mind, when it comes to Rumsfeld, he lied for no good reason. Of course, all of us not in the GOP knew he was lying right along........but the party faithful, apparently including you, did not. Do you understand now?
