You need to tell the Ledge. They've been trying to do that for years. The Texas Supreme Court keeps stopping them. So they are in need of your wisdom here. Apparently you don't understand what I'm talking about. The chance that the state supreme court has kept the state legislature from changing the spending of funds that are not tied by any law or regulation to a specific purpose, is close to zero. If they have done such a thing than its one of the most outrageous examples of judicial activism in American history. The court likely has stopped the state from switching gasoline tax funds to other purposes because the law says they have to be used for roads. The law doesn't say other funds have to be used for roads. It is other funds that would be shifted not the gasoline tax funds. Possibly Texas never funded road construction with any other funds besides gasoline taxes. I doubt it. If that is the case than its highly unusual. If it is the case than there are no other funds to shift. But if there are no other funds to shift than your comment "You need to tell the Ledge. They've been trying to do that for years. The Texas Supreme Court keeps stopping them." doesn't make any sense.
